Deep cleaning your boat will help you avoid expensive and smelly problems in the spring. Here at Cooper boating, the work of putting the boats in our Canadian Fleet is in full swing – an annual task to ensure that each boat is dry and clean so that everyone who charters from us enjoys every aspect of their vacation.
Most of damage that occurs during winter is avoidable. And you don’t need a big budget to keep the winter from damaging your boat – a few thoughtful precautions are enough to prevent expensive problems later. Cleaning all the nooks and crannies, removing and preventing mold, and setting up dehumidifying and heaters will keep the interior dry. Regular checks to ensure that heavy snow and ice does not accumulate on the canvas; unrolling canvas windows so they do not crack as temperatures drop. Small things that can make all the difference when you’re ready to boat again in the spring.
We hope you enjoy a safe, warm, and dry winter. And we look forward to seeing you when the warmer winds blow.
