It all started here – FALSE CREEK’S little gem that nobody can quite figure out ~ even after they have been here.
Nestled in the heart of downwown VANCOUVER, GRANVILLE ISLAND is a very unique collection of restaurants, public market, boat yard, cement factory, hotel, theatres, artisans & a few treasures even we haven’t yet discovered in our fourth decade here.
This naturally sheltered harbour is a the home of the MARITIME MARKET, a collection of boats for sale or charter & many of the required infrastructure to properly support the same.
GRANVILLE ISLAND Is mere minutes from the magical waters of VANCOUVER’S outer harbour, where deep sea ships sit at anchor between loads ~ these IRON ISLANDS provide the foreground while mountains with ski hills to the north, skyscrapers to the EAST & gentle slopes to the south provide a one of a kind view.

Check in for your adventure at the office first. It’s open daily 9-5, with longer hours for the peak summer period.
We’re situated between yacht brokers, the LOBSTER MAN & the GRANVILLE ISLAND BOAT YARD immediately across from us ~ three hour free parking is near our doors (subject to availability) & long term options are available as well – see the map to the left.
The MARITIME MARKET docks are open daily but have security procedures after hours, which we will orient you to. There are shore based washrooms and showers on the same code as the docks.
The moorage is quite tight, so we are happy to ‘valet’ you in and ouf of the docks (during normal business hours)
Highway 99 comes to an end after turning into OAK STREET and Granville Island is a few blocks west of that terminus. It is a popular downtown spot that has a causeway to drive on (immediately under the south side of the GRANVILLE STREET bridge).
NOTE: busy summer afternoons can see very heavy traffic on Granville Island – best to come early or end of the day.
Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is 12.7km away and that can be 15 minutes when traffic is light up to much much longer in rush hours (morning and afternoon). Taxi and limousine service is available from the airport. Note: Vancouver does not yet have UBER service.
FALSE CREEK FOOT FERRIES
Our immediated body of water is serviced by a network of small ferries and both FALSE CREEK FERRIES and AQUABUS use GRANVILLE ISLAND as a hub.

The city has completed its new NORTH HARBOUR facility & we are pleased to currently have our fleet on A & B docks at the extreme NORTH end of NORTH HARBOUR. (Westview).
