Participants practice real-life decision-making and learn to plan and manage longer-passages, bigger vessels, and longer distances as they learn how to evaluate the limitations of their vessel and crew and avoid trouble (whether that trouble be incoming weather, fast running currents, or other vessels).
In this course, participants are expected to have the basics of boat handling and navigation in hand. Building on the lessons learned in our Beginner Cruise & Learn and Coastal Navigation courses, participants expand this knowledge and gain mastery docking, anchoring, navigating, and overseeing their boat systems.
This course is essential for anyone seeking to to pilot their vessel or to qualify to bareboat charter.
