2005 Bavaria 42 Cruiser
Cassiopeia (Cas•si•o•pe•ia) sails from Port Sidney Marina in downtown Sidney on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Sidney is in the heart of the world-renowned Gulf Islands cruising grounds and six sea miles from the US border, and the equally famous San Juan Islands. She is a fast, stable, comfortable cruiser with a full galley, three double cabins, and two heads, each with a shower. The salon is bright and cheery with a large table for meals or games, and good headroom. The cockpit is roomy with cushions. Dual helms allow for comfort underway and good visibility forward when docking. Cassiopeia motors economically, sails well, and covers distances in excellent time. The main and large genoa. provide good propulsion in light air.and In higher winds Cassiopeia can make good time, even to windward, on genoa or reefed genoa alone .The roller main and large furling genoa allow for easy reefing or snuffing of either sail from the cockpit. A colour chartplotter with GPS and detailed local charts, autopilot, radar, depth and wind instrumentation plus VHF at the helm make for easy, safe navigation. A central furnace warms the boat on cool mornings. Cassiopeia is a popular boat for local cruising or for circumnavigating Vancouver Island and is available for bareboat charter year-round. Instruction, provisioning, crew, or captain are available on request.
