Advanced Cruising - 7 day program

Become a confident coastal cruiser in all conditions day and night on this challenging 7 day trip. Venture to or from Vancouver Island's Barclay Sound, visiting picturesque stops like Bamfield, Tofino, Ucluelet and Victoria. This certification is also offered in a 5 day program or as a 14 day circumnavigation of Vancouver Island (see 'Offshore Cruising' for details on the 14 day course).

Course topics include night sailing, navigation, sail theory, day and night emergency drills and splicing.

This course is scheduled to be on a yacht between 37-43'. Four to six students and one instructor will sail aboard the yacht. Provisioning and course materials are included.

The seven day course boards/finishes at one of the two following times/locatoins:


Sept 11 2010 will board in Vancouver at 8am on the Saturday and will end in the following Friday by 5pm back in Vancouver.

May 28 2011 will board in Vancouver at 8am on the Saturday and will end the following Friday by 5pm in Uclulet on Vancouver Island

June 4 2011 will board in Uclulet at 8am on the Saturday and will end the following Friday by 5pm back in Vancouver.
