Cooper Boating is a boating school certifying students for the Canadian Yachting Association (CYA), the International Sail & Power Association (ISPA) and International Yacht Training (IYT).

Basic Power Boating - Sidney

Basic Power Boating
Vessels over 5.5 meters with engines over 75hp. Students must be over 17 years of age.
Learn safety, boat handling, basic navigation and emergency procedures. The course is taught over two weekends. The first weekend only involves the Saturday from 9am - 5pm in our classroom for a lecture and exams. The second weekend involves both Saturday and Sunday from 9am - 5pm. Both days, you will be on the water and in the classroom. Successful students are awarded their CYA Basic Power Boating Standard and the Pleasure Craft Operator card.

Students will be writing two exams during the program in order to complete the certification process. Please read all manuals provided prior to starting the program.

Course taught in Sidney at the Port Sidney Marina.
