WHY CHARTER WITH COOPER?At Cooper we make your charter vacation easier and more enjoyable by allowing you to plan and book your vacation online. Cooper has the newest yachts of any charter fleet in Canada which means less down time and more worry-free vacation time for you. Our late model sailing and power yachts come from a selected manufacturers offering you a wide selection. Some yachts are designed and built specifically with chartering in mind - easy to operate, easy to service and maximum accommodations. Others in our collection are more traditional pleasure yachts with less accommodation, but fabulous for smaller groups looking for a little more comfort. When cruising our yachts, they become yours for the holiday; we pride ourselves on not emblazoning them with advertisements.
Our sailing fleet sports features which may include roller furling foresails and mainsails, electric windlasses and fully enclosed cockpits. Our yachts are as easy to sail as they are fun. The power fleet has a variety of single and twin engine configurations, various bow and stern thrusters, plenty of canvas protection and both displacement and semi-displacement models. Check the details page for each yacht as the wide selection also generates a plethora of equipment combinations.
No formal certification is required to charter with Cooper. Qualification is based on experience. If necessary, we can arrange time with a qualified skipper to brush up on your skills. When you're ready to go, we'll help you every step of the way, from planning your vacation to provisioning your yacht. You'll also receive a complete orientation on the boat, as well as advice on gear clothing and other details.
Your charter day is based on 24 hours, starting with a 10am check-in and ending with a 10am check-out for Charters of 3 days or more. Charters less than 3 days start with a 9am check in and end with 5pm check out. Early Boarding is available the evening prior to your booking for a $99 fee. Please contact the office to schedule an early boarding check in time.
Standard Equipment
All our charter vessels include a dinghy, VHF radio, stereo, heater, charts and navigation instruments, a fully equipped galley, barbecue, all the coast guard-required safety equipment, and first aid and tool kits. Many yachts are equipped beyond this standard equipment.
Duration Discounts
Sail farther for less - on trips of 10 days, save 5%, on trips of 14 days or more save 10%. In addition, you can save even more by chartering during our Spring Season (May - June), Late Summer Season (September) or the Off Season (October - March).
Cancellations
A cancellation fee of 10% of the charter fee plus GST is applicable to all bookings cancelled up to 91 days before the charter date. Any cancellations made 90 days or less prior to the start date are ineligable for a refund. We recommend that you purchase medical and travel insurance as appropriate for your peace of mind.
Booking Terms
A 30% deposit is required to confirm a booking and the balance is due 90 days prior to the start date. Bookings made within 90 days of departure (varies by yacht selected) must be paid in full. If you book by phone or online using VISA or MasterCard, you can have your reservation confirmed immediately.
CharterProtect
Our boats are insured under a comprehensive policy. Damage deposits are taken to cover the deductibles for various incidents. For additional peace of mind, CharterProtect Package reduces the deductibles on all insured perils. Ask your charter specialist for details.
